Description

St. Johns County Council on Aging's Senior Wellness Program offers an exercise program and nutrition classes to low-income elderly clients.

Goal / Mission

The goal of this program is to improve the quality of life of residents of Northeast Florida by providing programs and services which raise the health, education and economic standards of citizens living at the lowest social and economic levels.

Results / Accomplishments

The participants have overcome many health problems, they are active in community projects and events, some have returned to work, also many volunteer in the local school system.
